PsbF / Anti-PsbF subunit of Photosystem II antibody

PsbF / Anti-PsbF subunit of Photosystem II antibody

PsbF subunit of PSII is also called cytochrome b559β. It is a small subunit of PSII and is tightly associated with the reaction center of photosystem II. This subunit may play a protective role by acting as an electron acceptor or electron donor.

PhytoAB has the PHY0125A antibody for PsbF, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of PsbF derived from Arabidopsis thaliana ATCG00570.

Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% homologues with the sequence in Oryza sativa Japonica Group, Physcomitrella patens, Nicotiana tabacum, Oryza sativa Japonica Group, Medicago truncatula, Spinacia oleracea, and 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Hordeum vulgare subsp. Vulgare, Cucumis sativus, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
