PsbO / Anti-PsbO subunit of oxygen evolving complex of Photosystem II antibody

PsbO / Anti-PsbO subunit of oxygen evolving complex of Photosystem II antibody

PsbO is an extrinsic subunit of photosystem II, which has been proposed to play a central role in stabilization of the catalytic manganese cluster. In Arabidopsis thaliana, the PsbO proteins are encoded by two genes: psbO1 (AT5G66570) and psbO2 (AT3G50820). PsbO1 is the major isoform in Arabidopsis.

PhytoAB has the PHY0094A antibody for PsbO, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of PsbO derived from Arabidopsis thaliana AT5G66570 and AT3G50820.

Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% homologues with the sequence in Zea mays, Brassica napus, Oryza sativa Japonica Group, Brassica rapa, Solanum tuberosum, Solanum lycopersicum, Nicotiana tabacum, Gossypium raimondii, Cucumis sativus, Populus trichocarpa, Vitis vinifera, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, Leymus chinensis, and 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Medicago truncatula, Glycine max, Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803
The sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% similarity between PsbO1 and PsbO2 in Arabidopsis.
