GAPDH / Anti-Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase GAPC2, cytosolic antibody

Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is an enzyme of ~37kDa that catalyzes the sixth step of glycolysis and thus serves to break down glucose for energy and carbon molecules. Plants contain both cytosolic and chloroplastic GAPDHs (glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenases). In Arabidopsis thaliana, cytosolic GAPDH is involved in the glycolytic pathway and is represented by two differentially expressed isoforms (GapC1 AT03G04120 and GapC2 AT01G13440) that are 98% identical in amino acid sequence.

PhytoAB developed PHY0303A antibody, the Immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of GapC2 (AT01G13440) derived from Arabidopsis thaliana.

Predicted Reactivity: Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% homologues with the sequence in Brassica rapa subsp. Chinensis, Solanum tuberosum, Brassica napus, Solanum lycopersicum, Solanum tuberosum, and 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Triticum aestivum, Glycine max, Hordeum vulgare subsp. Vulgare, Zea mays, Nicotiana tabacum, Populus trichocarpa, Gossypium raimondii, Cucumis sativus.
