THA4 / Anti-Sec-independent protein translocase protein TATA, chloroplastic antibody

THA4 has similar structures with Hcf106. Three components of the thylakoidal Tat machinery have been identified which are addressed as THA4 (AT5G28750), HCF106 (AT5G52440), and TatC (AT2G01110). They are all encoded in the nucleus and synthesised in the cytosol as precursor polypeptides with N-terminal transit peptides for transport into the chloroplast.

PhytoAB has the PHY1395S antibody for THA4, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of THA4 derived from Arabidopsis thaliana AT5G28750.

Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Brassica napus, Zea mays.
