CENH3 / Anti-CENH3 Antibody
| Immunogen: | Camellia lanceoleosa (KAI8026782 NCBI: XP_028116772) | ![]() |
| Synonyms: | CENH3, HTR12 | |
| Background: |
CENH3, a centromere-specific histone H3 variant, is the epigenetic marker defining the functional centromere location on each chromosome. It replaces canonical H3 within centromeric nucleosomes. CENH3 provides the essential foundation for assembling the kinetochore, the large protein complex that forms during cell division. The kinetochore attached to CENH3 nucleosomes serves as the direct attachment site for spindle microtubules, enabling accurate chromosome segregation to daughter cells.
