Background:	OsTIR1 is an F-box auxin receptor and the substrate-recognition subunit of the SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. It localizes primarily to the nucleus. It perceives auxin to promote the ubiquitination and degradation of Aux/IAA transcriptional repressors, thereby regulating root growth, tillering, seed development, and grain filling.
