SFR2 is a protein with beta-glucosidase and galactosyltransferase activity, mutants show increased sensitivity to freezing. Though it is classified as a family I glycosyl hydrolase, it has no hydrolase activity in vitro.
The 26S proteasome plays a central role in the degradation of regulatory proteins involved in a variety of developmental processes. It consists of two multisubunit protein complexes: the proteolytic core protease and the regulatory particle (RP).The RPN1 subunit belongs to the base complex of the RP and is known to physically interact with two proteins carrying ubiquitin-like domains, Rad23 and Dsk2.
CLPF is one of the two adaptors (together with CLPS1) that are part of the plastid CLP system. CLPF interacts with chloroplast chaperone CLPC1, which unfolds and delivers substrates to the stromal CLPPRT protease complex for degradation.
