Background:	FLC is a MADS-box transcription factor and acts as a floral repressor. It seems to play a central role in the regulation of flowering time in the late-flowering phenotype by interacting with 'FRIGIDA'. And it inhibits flowering by repressing 'SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CONSTANS 1'.
