Background:	DGAT1/TAG1 is a membrane-bound diacylglycerol acyltransferase. It catalyzes the final, rate-limiting step in triacylglycerol (oil) biosynthesis, playing a major role in seed oil accumulation and leaf senescence. Its preferred substrate is linolenoyl-CoA (C18:3-CoA).
