CYP707A2, CYTOCHROME P450, FAMILY 707, SUBFAMILY A, POLYPEPTIDE 2
Background:
CYP707A2 is a protein with ABA 8'-hydroxylase activity, involved in ABA catabolism. It appears to play a major role in the rapid decrease in ABA levels during early seed imbibition.
FTSH4 is an FtsH protease that is localized to the mitochondrion. Loss of function results in increased determinacy of the meristem that is exacerbated when plants are grown at higher temperatures.
HEMA2 is glutamyl-tRNA reductase. It is involved in heme biosynthesis in non-photosynthetic tissues and induced by oxidative stress in photosynthetic tissues to supply heme for defensive hemoproteins.
The AT4G02630 protein was found to be imported into chloroplasts. AT4G02630 was previously reported to be localized in thylakoids by immuno-localization. It is involved in protein amino acid phosphorylation.
RAF10 is similar to RAF MAP Kinase that is expressed in most plant tissues. Based on loss of function and gain of function phenotypes, RAF10 appears to be involved in ABA response.
