SS5 is a chloroplast-localized protein that is related to the canonical starch synthases (most closely to SS4), but is catalytically inactive. SS5 can bind to starch in vitro, and interacts with MRC/PII1 in vivo.
LFR is armadillo-repeat containing protein. It is involved in leaf and flower development. And LFR is functionally associated with AS2 to mediate leaf development.
HCF107 is involved in regulating plastidial gene expression and biogenesis. HCF107 binding remodels the structure of the psbH 5′ UTR in a way that can account for its ability to enhance psbH translation.
