Background: |
RPM1 is a plasma membrane-localized NB-ARC domain-containing disease resistance protein (CC-NBS-LRR) that confers resistance against Pseudomonas syringae strains carrying the type III effectors AvrRpm1 or AvrB. It contains an N-terminal nucleotide-binding site and a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domain, is functionally associated with RIN2/RIN3 E3 ubiquitin ligases, and mediates effector-triggered immunity, triggering the hypersensitive response. | |
