AMY / Anti-Alpha-amylase antibody

AMY / Anti-Alpha-amylase antibody

α-Amylases are hydrolytic enzymes responsible for the mobilization of the starch into metabolizable sugars. It can hydrolyze alpha bonds of large, alpha-linked polysaccharides, such as starch and glycogen, yielding glucose and maltose. This process provides the energy for the growth of roots and shoots and is crucial during germination of cereal seeds.

PhytoAB has PHY0004 antibody for AMY, the immunogen is KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide of AMY derived from Oryza sativa AAA33885.1.

Among 25 analyzed species, the sequence of the synthetic peptide used for immunization is 100% homologues with the sequence in Oryza sativa, Zea mays, and 80-99% homologues with the sequence in Gossypium raimondii, Triticum aestivum, Glycine max, Medicago truncatula, Solanum tuberosum, Solanum lycopersicum.
