Connecting light sensing with plant stress—with PhytoAB antibodies!
How does a light receptor help plants respond to environmental stress?
In New Phytologist, Fichman and colleagues showed that phytochrome B (phyB) helps regulate reactive oxygen species (ROS) signaling during excess light and other stresses. Their findings suggest distinct roles for cytosolic phyB in ROS production and nuclear phyB in stress acclimation.
The researchers used two PhytoAB primary antibodies in nuclear-enrichment immunoblotting experiments examining phyB localization:
Phytochrome B antibody | PHY1733
Mouse monoclonal
Histone H3 antibody | PHY2460A
Rabbit polyclonal; listed as H3.3 in the PhytoAB catalog
