Background:	OsPORA is a chloroplastic NADPH:protochlorophyllide oxidoreductase. It catalyzes the light-dependent reduction of protochlorophyllide to chlorophyllide, a key step in chlorophyll biosynthesis. It is essential for prolamellar body formation in etioplasts and is predominantly expressed in developing leaves under dark conditions.
